- Sinusitis: Sinusitis is inflammation of the mucosal lining of the sinuses
present around the nose. It is mainly caused by viral, bacterial and fungal infections,
allergies and autoimmune problems. Usually patient will present with headache, dull
aching pain over the affected sinuses and thick nasal discharge containing pus and
blood .
- Asthma: Asthma is a common chronic inflammatory disease of the airways characterized
by wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath . The cause
can be a form of allergy called atopy, or can even be induced by exercise, cold
climate and emotional stress.
- Cystic Fibrosis: This is a genetic disorder that affects most critically
the lungs, and also the pancreas, liver, and intestine. It causes difficulty in
breathing with accumulation of thick sticky mucus, poor growth and stunted height.
